The standard reading of the sector mixes serving leaders with monarchs, prophets and presidents long gone, and only 37 of its 72 names are living.
Donald Trump is the most famous political figure in the world for August 2026, with a score of 41.7, the highest of any person in this batch of sectors. Nobody else is within nine points. The next name is Muhammad, the founder of Islam, at 32.3; the sector gathers religious founders, royals and historical figures wherever attention groups them with politics. Barack Obama, the 44th president, is third at 30.8, and Adolf Hitler fourth at 30.6.
The list is more history than current affairs. Elizabeth II, queen from 1952 until her death in 2022, is sixth at 25. Diana, Princess of Wales, is seventh at 24.6. John F. Kennedy and Mahatma Gandhi share 24 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in eighth, ninth and tenth. Abraham Lincoln is thirteenth at 23.4. Seven of the fifteen are dead, and 35 of the 72 names measured, nearly half.
The living leaders are the exceptions. Vladimir Putin, who has dominated Russian politics since 1999, is fifth at 28.8. Joe Biden, the 46th president, is eleventh at 23.9, and Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's longest-serving prime minister, twelfth at 23.8. Prince Harry and William, the Prince of Wales, close the fifteen at 22.9 and 22.2, two sons of the woman seven places above them. Schwarzenegger, the bodybuilder and actor who governed California, is the only name whose politics were a second career.
Seventy-two names were measured across 28 countries, 37 living. The United States supplies 21, the United Kingdom seven, France four. The engine measures worldwide fame rather than quality, and for politics that attention reaches back centuries.
