iFAMOUS lists may be quoted and reproduced in part with attribution. Cite the issue, not the live page.
How to cite
Name the list, the issue and the month, and link to the issue page. For example: "No. 1 on The 100 Most Famous People in the World, iFAMOUS No. 1 (August 2026), ifamous.org/issue/2026-08" or "No. 1 on The Most Famous People in the World Alive, August 2026, iFAMOUS No. 1". The short forms "the iFAMOUS 100" and "iFAMOUS Alive" are fine in running text. The full name of the journal is iFAMOUS by iFANN.
Publication schedule
Rankings freeze on the second day of each month for the month just ended. The issue is published in the first week of the month, with the press release distributed the same morning. Accredited press can receive the issue under embargo 24 hours before publication: write to [email protected] with your outlet and beat.
What you can reproduce
- Any top 10 of any list, with attribution and a link to the issue.
- Singular claims exactly as the journal prints them ("the most famous living person in Nigeria, iFAMOUS No. 1"), never for countries the issue marks as provisional.
- Movement figures, only from issues that publish them (the first issue under a new methodology version has none).
Full lists beyond the top 10, and the underlying scores, require permission. The scores and ranks are iFANN-derived; the raw third-party signals behind them are not redistributed.
