Jesus Christ heads the first iFAMOUS 100, and no living person comes within five points of him. The 1st-century preacher at the centre of Christianity carries a fame score of 53.6 for August 2026, with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese forward who has become a fashion entrepreneur and model in his own right, second at 48.3. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, holds third at 42.2 some seventeen years after his death, ahead of the sitting American president, Donald Trump, at 41.7.

That top four says most of what the list says. The iFANN Global Fame Rankings measures worldwide fame, not merit, and attention in 2026 still gathers around religion, football, pop music and American politics. Lionel Messi, the Argentine who is Ronaldo's rival for the sport's crown, is fifth at 39.8. Then comes a run of pop: Justin Bieber sixth, Taylor Swift seventh, Kim Kardashian eighth, Rihanna ninth, Shakira tenth. Beyoncé, Eminem and Jennifer Lopez follow, and Muhammad, the founder of Islam, is the second religious figure in the table at fourteenth, level on 32.3 with Lopez.

The composition is lopsided and honest about it. Of the 100 names, 78 are living and 22 are dead, drawn from 23 countries. The United States supplies 49 of them, the United Kingdom 15, Canada six, Spain three, and Portugal and Argentina two each. Only two people in the top fifteen were born outside the Americas or Europe, and both founded world religions.

The engine measured 419 people for the global scope and kept the hundred who held the most attention through the month. What separates the top of the table from the rest is not a single event but durability: the names above 30 have been famous for decades, or for centuries.
