Hamilton beats Verstappen by four tenths in a motorsport list of 95 names

Two drivers separated by 0.4 lead August 2026, with Michael Schumacher third, a Mercedes driver born in 2006 fourth and Ayrton Senna the only dead name in the fifteen.
Lewis Hamilton is the most famous name in motorsport for August 2026, and the margin is four tenths of a point. The British driver, now at Ferrari, scores 20.8 against 20.4 for Max Verstappen, the Dutch-Belgian who races under the Dutch flag for Red Bull. Michael Schumacher, the German seven-time champion, is third at 19.7, more than a decade after his last race.
The surprise is fourth. Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the Italian Mercedes driver born in Bologna in 2006, scores 19, ahead of Lando Norris of McLaren at 18.5 and Fernando Alonso, who has spent more than two decades at the top and now drives for Aston Martin, at 17.7. Carlos Sainz Jr. is seventh at 15.4. Ayrton Senna, the Brazilian who died at Imola in 1994, is eighth at 15.3, the only dead name among the leaders and still level with active drivers.
The sector covers more than Formula One. Marc Márquez, the Spanish motorcycle racer, is ninth at 15, and Valentino Rossi, the Italian who moved from bikes to team management and GT racing, is tenth at 13.7. George Russell of Mercedes, Oscar Piastri of McLaren and three drivers from the last decade of the grid, Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Räikkönen, fill the rest.
Ninety-five names were measured across 29 countries, and 92 are living. Germany, Italy and Finland supply eight names each, with Spain, Brazil and Australia on seven. No country dominates. The Spanish contingent is the strongest in the top fifteen, with Alonso, Sainz and Márquez, and the United Kingdom places three: Hamilton, Norris and Russell.
