Senna out, Leclerc in: the living motorsport list bookended by Ferrari

The August 2026 Alive reading removes Ayrton Senna from eighth and brings Charles Leclerc into fifteenth, so Lewis Hamilton's current teammate closes the table he leads.
Ayrton Senna is the only dead name in the top fifteen of the motorsport list, and removing him for the Alive reading changes the table's last line. Charles Leclerc, the Monégasque who drives for Scuderia Ferrari, enters at fifteenth with 11.8. Lewis Hamilton, his teammate, leads the living at 20.8. Ferrari's two current drivers hold the first and last places of the August 2026 living fifteen.
Ninety-two of the 95 names measured are living, and among them the age range is the story. Fernando Alonso, sixth at 17.7, has raced at the front for more than twenty years. Andrea Kimi Antonelli, fourth at 19, was born in 2006, the son of sportscar racer Marco Antonelli. Oscar Piastri, eleventh at 12.8, was born in 2001 in Melbourne. Between the oldest and youngest of these three is a full generation of grand prix racing, and all of them are on the grid this season.
The retired hold their places without the benefit of a race weekend. Michael Schumacher is third at 19.7. Sebastian Vettel, twelfth at 12.3, Valtteri Bottas at 12.1 and Kimi Räikkönen at 11.9 sit within half a point of each other. Valentino Rossi, ninth at 13.7, now manages a team and races GT cars, and Marc Márquez, eighth at 15, remains the most famous living motorcycle racer.
Max Verstappen, second at 20.4, is the one driver within reach of Hamilton. Lando Norris, fifth at 18.5, started karting at seven and grew up in Glastonbury. Twenty-nine countries are represented, and the living top fifteen draws on eight of them, with Spain and the United Kingdom placing three drivers apiece.
