Bollywood's Alive reading for August 2026 loses Sridevi and gains Ranbir Kapoor and Tamannaah Bhatia, while the order at the top stays as it was.
Bollywood is a sector where nearly everyone the world looks up is still working, and its Alive reading for August 2026 reflects that. Ninety of 99 measured names are living, and the top eight are identical to the standard scale: Shah Rukh Khan at 19.9, Salman Khan at 18.5, Aishwarya Rai, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan and Nora Fatehi.
The change comes below them. Sridevi, who held fourteenth on the standard list, is absent, and the two names that enter at the bottom belong to a younger generation: Ranbir Kapoor, widely regarded as one of the most versatile actors of the current era, at fourteenth with 10.5, and Tamannaah Bhatia, whose career spans Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, at fifteenth on the same score. Their arrival makes the living list a slightly better picture of the industry as it stands than the standard one.
Even so, the reading belongs to the veterans. Amitabh Bachchan, fifth at 16.1, has been a leading man since the 1970s. Aamir Khan has defined the industry for four decades, Akshay Kumar for three, and Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn and Madhuri Dixit have all held star billing for twenty years or more. Alia Bhatt, fourth, is the only performer in the top five who debuted in the 2010s, and Deepika Padukone, ninth, the only other member of the top ten to have arrived this century.
Nora Fatehi remains the outlier at eighth. Born in Toronto to Moroccan parents and based in Mumbai since her late teens, she is the only non-Indian in a group of fifteen. The engine measures worldwide fame, and in Hindi cinema that attention rewards longevity more than in any other film sector.
