Nineteen living names, one president and a Kardashian on the business list

Without Epstein, Edison and Ford, the Alive reading for August 2026 lets Khloé Kardashian, George Soros and Jared Kushner into a top fifteen still led by Donald Trump.
Only 19 living names are measured in business and finance, so the Alive reading for August 2026 is very nearly the whole sector laid out on one page. Donald Trump leads at 41.7, Elon Musk is second at 29.4, and Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg follow at 25.9 and 23.3. Nothing in the top five changes from the standard scale, because nobody in the top five is dead.
The change comes when Jeffrey Epstein, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford drop out. Jay-Z moves up to sixth, Warren Buffett to seventh, and Jeff Bezos, founder and executive chairman of Amazon, to eighth at 18.9. Three names enter at the foot of the table: Khloé Kardashian, the media personality and businesswoman, at thirteenth with 15.4; George Soros, the Hungarian-American investor, at fourteenth; and Jared Kushner, the financier who served as senior adviser to President Trump from 2017 to 2021, at fifteenth.
The living list splits neatly into three groups. The founders are Musk, Gates, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Peter Thiel at ninth and Jensen Huang of Nvidia at twelfth. The investors are Buffett, Thiel again and Soros. The politicians are Trump, Emmanuel Macron at fifth, Mark Carney, the central banker turned Canadian prime minister, at tenth, and Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany from 2005 to 2021, at eleventh. Four heads of government past and present in a business list is a large share, and it shows where the world's attention on money actually lands.
The United States supplies most of the names, Germany contributes Thiel and Merkel, and Huang, born in Taiwan, is the only Asian entry. The engine measures fame, not wealth, and the living reading confirms it: the most famous businessman in the world is now a politician.
