Jackie Chan's score more than doubles the next name in C-pop

An action star leads the August 2026 Mandopop table at 24.8, with Faye Wong, Jackson Wang and Jay Chou bunched far behind and a Tang emperor tenth.
Jackie Chan is the most famous name in C-pop for August 2026, and his 24.8 is more than twice the score of anyone behind him. The Hong Kong-born martial artist, actor and singer is followed by Faye Wong, the Chinese singer and actress, at 10.9, and then by a tight group of four. Jackson Wang, the Hong Kong rapper who fenced competitively before joining Got7 in 2014, is third at 9.9. Jay Chou, the Taiwanese singer-songwriter known as the King of Mandopop, is fourth at 9.7, tied with the actor Tony Leung, and Dilraba Dilmurat, the Uyghur actress and singer born in Ürümqi, is sixth at 9.6.
Ninety-four names are measured across seven countries, and 90 are living. Mainland China supplies 44 and Taiwan 39, an almost even split that the top fifteen reflects. Taiwan contributes Chou, Shu Qi at eighth, Jolin Tsai, the Queen of C-Pop, at thirteenth, and Aaron Yan of the boy band Fahrenheit at fourteenth. Hong Kong, with only two names measured, still places Chan, Wang, Chow Yun-fat at seventh and Aaron Kwok, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the 1990s, at fifteenth.
The sector tag gathers one figure from far outside pop music. Emperor Taizong of Tang, who ruled China from 626 to 649, is tenth at 8.8, ahead of Zhao Lusi, Zhao Wei and Jolin Tsai. He is the only dead name in the top fifteen.
The actors outnumber the singers. Chan, Leung, Chow, Shu Qi, Xiao Zhan at ninth, Zhao Lusi and Zhao Wei are all known first for screen work, while Wong, Wang, Chou, Tsai, Yan and Kwok made their names in music. The ranking measures worldwide fame rather than record sales, and on that measure Mandopop's fame still travels most easily when it is attached to a film.
