The Alive reading for August 2026 removes only Emperor Taizong and admits Kris Wu, leaving a C-pop table where Jackie Chan leads and Jay Chou is the highest singer by trade after Faye Wong.
Ninety of the 94 names measured in C-pop are living, and the Alive reading for August 2026 shifts the table by exactly one entry. Emperor Taizong of Tang, tenth on the standard scale, is removed, and Kris Wu, the Guangzhou-born former EXO member who built a solo career in China, enters at fifteenth with 7.5.
