Two of the three most famous names in the August 2026 Indian Dramas list died in 2020, and the sector's 82 names reach from Mumbai to Dhaka, Karachi and Tehran.
Irrfan Khan is the most famous name in Indian drama for August 2026, six years after his death in 2020. His score of 9.7 ties Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the Indian actress, who is placed second, and Sushant Singh Rajput, who also died in 2020, is third at 7.6. Two of the top three are gone, and the attention around them has not faded.
The living leaders sit in a tight band. Jennifer Winget, the film and television actress born in 1985, and Ekta Kapoor, the producer whose serials remade Hindi television, tie at 6.7. Mrunal Thakur is sixth at 6.6, R.
