The author leads the August 2026 Harry Potter ranking at 21.7, with Tom Felton and his HBO successor Lox Pratt both inside the top fifteen.
J. K. Rowling is the most famous name in the Wizarding World for August 2026, and the author outranks the boy she wrote. Her score of 21.7 sits above Daniel Radcliffe at 17, the English actor who played Harry Potter through eight films. Rowling's series has sold more than 600 million copies, and the attention still starts with her.
Third is Ian McKellen at 14, an English actor of the classical stage and the biggest blockbusters, whose fantasy fame comes from a different franchise altogether. The sector gathers adjacent figures, and Anna Paquin, sixth at 10.4, is another. Tom Felton, whose Draco Malfoy won him MTV villain awards in 2010 and 2011, is fourth at 11.8, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who first caught attention in Sweeney Todd, is fifth.
The supporting cast holds the middle. Jason Isaacs, sinister and sympathetic by turns, is seventh at 9.4. Warwick Davis, one of fantasy cinema's longest careers, is eighth. Evanna Lynch of Ireland and Natalia Tena, the British-Spanish actress, tie at 7.6, and Miriam Margolyes at 7.5. Robbie Coltrane, the Scottish actor who died in 2022, is twelfth at 4.7, the only dead name among the leaders. Devon Murray, Seamus Finnigan in all eight films, is thirteenth.
Fourteenth is the future. Lox Pratt, the English actor cast as Draco Malfoy in HBO's upcoming television adaptation, scores 4.1, ten places below the man who defined the role. David Bradley, eight decades into his career, closes the fifteen. Eighteen names were measured across eight countries, seventeen living, and the United Kingdom supplies ten of them, which is what a British book turned British film series should produce.
