The August 2026 esports list is led by a chess grandmaster, and the best-known League of Legends player in history is the only gamer in the top fifteen.
Magnus Carlsen is the most famous name in the esports sector for August 2026, at 21.5. The Norwegian grandmaster who has dominated chess for more than a decade holds more than double the score of Faker, the South Korean League of Legends player born in 1996, who is second at 9.
