Without Fernando Poe Jr. and Gloria Romero, the Alive reading of Filipino television brings in Isko Moreno and Emma Tiglao behind an unchanged top seven.
The Alive reading of the Pinoy drama sector for August 2026 removes two names the industry still measures itself against. Fernando Poe Jr., eighth on the standard list, and Gloria Romero, eleventh, are gone, and 87 living names remain. Liza Soberano leads them at 6, Kim Chiu is second at 5.1 and Nadine Lustre third at 4.8, the same top three as the full list.
The middle tightens. Bea Alonzo and Julie Anne San Jose, the singer, actress and host, move up to eighth and ninth at 3.5. Piolo Pascual, the leading man of two decades, is tenth at 3.3. Angeline Quinto and Katrina Halili follow at 3.2. Above them, Coco Martin at fourth, Megan Young at fifth, Kris Aquino at sixth and James Reid at seventh hold their places.
The two open places at the bottom go to names the full list did not reach. Isko Moreno, the former actor who has served as Mayor of Manila since June 30, 2025, is fourteenth at 3.1, one of the adjacent figures the sector gathers. Emma Tiglao, the model, news anchor and pageant titleholder, is fifteenth at 3. Both arrived at fame through the same screens as the actors above them, one through politics and the other through news.
The engine measures worldwide fame rather than quality, and among the living, Filipino television's attention is spread thin and wide: the entire fifteen sits inside three points, and a leader born in California is the only name above five. Of the 94 measured, 91 are Filipino.
