Agnez Mo tops the living reading of Southeast Asia for August 2026 at 43.3, and Joko Widodo, who led Indonesia for a decade until October 2024, is second at 36.5. The late King Bhumibol, second on the standard table, is absent here, as are Sukarno, José Rizal, Suharto, Chulalongkorn and Ferdinand Marcos, six names whose removal reshapes the whole lower half.

Thaksin Shinawatra, Thailand's prime minister from 2001 to 2006, is third. Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia's sitting president, is fourth, Vajiralongkorn fifth and Lisa, the Thai rapper and singer, sixth at 32.5. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is seventh, Manny Pacquiao eighth and Anggun ninth, all carried over from the standard list one or more places higher.

The names that come in are almost all political. Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022, is tenth at 28.9. Megawati Soekarnoputri, Indonesia's fifth president and Sukarno's daughter, is eleventh. Prayut Chan-o-cha, the former Thai general and prime minister, is thirteenth, and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the economist who led the Philippines from 2001 to 2010, fourteenth. Thongchai McIntyre, the Thai singer and actor, closes the fifteen at 24.5, and Cristiano Ronaldo, at twelfth, is the only person from outside the region.

Counted by occupation, nine of the fifteen have held a head of state or head of government office, four are singers, one is a boxer and one a footballer. Of 70 living people measured in the scope, then, the region's attention is on its politicians to a degree few regional readings approach. Coverage is rated medium. The living table's leader, though, is neither king nor president but a pop singer from Jakarta who outranks every one of them by nearly seven points.
