Turkey's August 2026 origin list is led by its president, but the next three places belong to the drama exports and the footballer the world watches most.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has dominated Turkish public life for more than two decades, and in August 2026 he holds the country's top score at 20.4. Nobody else born in Turkey reaches 15. The three names behind him describe the other ways Turkish fame now travels: Hande Erçel, second at 14.5, and Can Yaman, third at 14.3, are the leads of the television dramas that sell across Latin America, the Middle East and southern Europe, and Arda Güler, fourth at 14, is the attacking midfielder Real Madrid signed as a teenager.

Sultan Kösen, the tallest living man, is eleventh, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan twelfth, and Demet Özdemir, another drama lead, thirteenth.
