Keiko Fujimori leads Peru's living list ahead of four presidents she has outlasted

The Alive reading for August 2026 removes Alberto Fujimori and Lina Medina, and the president-elect takes the top place.
Keiko Fujimori is the most famous living Peruvian in the world for August 2026, at 12.1. She reaches the top of the Alive reading because her father, Alberto Fujimori, who led the standard list at 12.8, has died. The second dead name to leave the table is Lina Medina, third on the one-scale list, and her departure moves every living name up two places.
The living list is still a presidential roll call. José María Balcázar, who served as interim president from February to July 2026, is second at 8.0. Pedro Castillo is fourth, Dina Boluarte fifth, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski ninth, José Jerí tenth and Alejandro Toledo thirteenth. Six living people who have held the office sit below the woman elected to it, and the highest of them scores four points less than she does.
Juliane Koepcke, the mammalogist who survived the 1971 LANSA crash, is third at 7.7. Sport supplies Paolo Guerrero and Valentina Shevchenko, tied at 6.2, and further down Jefferson Farfán, Teófilo Cubillas and, at fifteenth, Gianluca Lapadula, the Italian-Peruvian striker at Universitario. Henry Ian Cusick, the actor from Trujillo, is eighth. Immortal Technique, the Lima-born rapper, enters the living fifteen at fourteenth with 4.4, the one musician on the list.
Twenty-seven of 29 Peruvians measured are living. Without the two dead names the list loses its top score and its strangest story, and becomes what it was underneath: a country whose worldwide attention is drawn to the people who have run it, and to the one about to.
