The August 2026 Alive reading for the Philippines lifts a tennis player to third and adds a cardinal, a socialite and a K-pop singer.
The living reading of the Philippines list for August 2026 keeps Manny Pacquiao on top at 17.2 and Rodrigo Duterte second at 12.3, then does something the standard list cannot: it puts Alexandra Eala, the tennis player, third at 11.2, ahead of a sitting president. Bongbong Marcos is fourth, Imelda Marcos fifth, Sara Duterte sixth.
The three names removed are Ferdinand Marcos, José Rizal and Corazon Aquino, third, seventh and eleventh on the one-scale table. Their places go to three very different living people. Luis Antonio Tagle, the cardinal, enters at thirteenth with 7.0. Isabel Preysler, the Spanish-Filipino socialite and television host, is fourteenth. JL, the main vocalist of the K-pop group AHOF, closes the fifteen at 6.7, the first Filipino idol on the list working inside the Korean system rather than the domestic P-pop one.
The entertainment tier holds together above them. Lea Salonga is seventh, Beabadoobee eighth, Bella Poarch ninth, Lou Diamond Phillips tenth and Stacey of BINI eleventh. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, twelfth, is the only living former president besides Duterte in the fifteen.
