Queen Sirikit leads Thailand as nine royals fill the top fifteen

A queen consort of sixty-six years tops the August 2026 Thailand list, with Lisa and Thaksin the only commoners in the top six.
Sirikit, Queen of Thailand from 1950 until 2016, is the most famous person connected to the country in August 2026, at a score of 62.7. Lisa, the rapper and singer born Lalisa Manobal, is second at 58.7, and Thaksin Shinawatra, prime minister from 2001 to 2006, third at 58. A late queen, a global pop star and a former prime minister within five points of each other is the shape of Thai fame this month.
The monarchy dominates the rest. Chulalongkorn, Rama V, is fourth, Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, fifth, and the reigning King Vajiralongkorn sixth at 52. Naresuan, the sixteenth-century king of Ayutthaya, is ninth, Princess Sirindhorn tenth, Vajiravudh, Rama VI, eleventh, Queen Suthida twelfth and Taksin, who ruled from Thonburi from 1767 to 1782, thirteenth. Nine of the top fifteen are members of royal houses, past or present, and six of the fifteen are dead.
The living commoners are a short list. Thaksin, Prayut Chan-o-cha at seventh, and Anutin Charnvirakul, prime minister since September 2025, at fifteenth, are the three heads of government. Thongchai McIntyre, the singer and actor, is eighth, and Urassaya Sperbund, the actress known as Yaya, fourteenth.
All hundred of the top hundred are Thai, 70 of them living, from 147 names measured, and the evidence label is high. Few country lists in this issue give history so much of the top; Thailand's runs from Ayutthaya to the present reign without leaving the table.
