Two prime ministers and a filmmaker are New Zealand's living fame in August 2026

The Alive reading keeps Ardern, Waititi and Luxon on top and moves the touring names up two places once Dolly Parton and Oliver Tree drop out.
Remove the two names recorded as deceased and the New Zealand list for August 2026 shrinks to eleven living people. Jacinda Ardern still leads at 23.6, Taika Waititi is second and Christopher Luxon third, so the top does not move. What changes is the rest: Katy Perry rises to fifth, Post Malone to sixth and Tom Cruise to seventh, each gaining a place with Dolly Parton gone from fifth.
The living reading makes the political bracket easier to see.
